PATH Variable -> Windows 8 wont boot

Hello everyone,

In order to get my eclipse cdt running I made some changes to the PATH variable

(see: http://www.wikihow.com/Install-MinGW-%28Minimalist-Gnu-C/C%2B%2B-Compiler%29-on-Microsoft-Windows)

At the start everything worked fine. But then Visual studio ( and other application) made problems when started.

I tried to revert the changes to PATH ( incorrectly it seems) and now Windows won't boot!

I'm pretty lost right know and not sure what to do.

Is there a way to access windows and the path variable via boot menu?

Some information on my system.

I'm using a Lenovo notebook ( http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Lenovo-ThinkPad-Edge-E540-20C60041-Notebook.109012.0.html )

And I'm using DualBoot ( Ubuntu and Windows 8.1)

Hope you guys can help me out!

Thanks in advanced.

You're actually posting in a Windows 7 forum but if tapping F8 rapidly at boot time causes Windows 8 to display the boot selection menu then you can go into the Windows Repair Environment and select System Restore to set Windows back to a point before you did whatever you did.

Hi,

I doubt If Frederik's suggestion would be helpful because if your system current boot menu was managed by Ubuntu, the general way to boot into Windows Repair Environment would be failed.

Is there any error message when you boot Windows failed?
